Therapy

PsyCAF provides an array of psychological therapy which draws on a range of modalities and principles. Often this includes trauma informed approaches, with a client led focus at the pace of the individual (and or family).

Most commonly PsyCAF provides:

* Dyadic Developmental Psychotherapy (DDP)

* Therapeutic Life Story Work (TLS)

*Theraplay informed Therapy (and Marschak Interaction method, MIM assessment)

* Cognitive Behavioural Therapy

* Attachment & Trauma informed therapies

*Eye Movement Desensitisation Reprocessing (EMDR)

PsyCAF welcomes individual referrals and those from organisations. If you are a family and require support please feel free to email us or contact your social worker who can initate a referral.

If you are  an individual thinking about therapy, where we start, what we explore and the pace, is led by you and whatever you feel comfortable with. Feel free to make contact and we can work out where to start together.

In addition to the therapies mentioned, Dr Piggott has also completed an array of professional development which she draws upon.  Most recently this has included, treatment (and assessment) of dissociation in adolescents and children, body orientated work when working with trauma and attachment based practice with children and families.
