WHO WE ARE
We are a team of psychologists and specialist therapists with extensive expertise in supporting children and families impacted by trauma.
As a team, we bring not only professional training and academic qualifications, but also a wealth of lived experience. Many of us have walked the path of therapeutically parenting children, live with neurodivergence and have navigated adverse childhood experiences and other traumas that life can bring
OUR APPROACH:
At the core of our work is the belief that healing happens in relationships. We understand that caring for or working with a child who has experienced trauma can feel overwhelming, isolating, and at times, heartbreaking. That’s why we are here—to walk alongside you with compassion, understanding, and specialist support.
With Parents/
Carers and Professionals:
Connection is the foundation of healing and development – it allows children to feel seen, heard and valued. Without connection, they can remain stuck in survival modes, lost in shame, fear or mistrust, unable to move forward or grow. Our approach facilitates the rebuilding of connection, through compassion, acceptance, curiosity, empathy and presence. This allows for true growth, processing of trauma’s and a real way forwards.
Providing connection requires more than simply good intentions – It calls for a way of being that is grounded in safety, consistency and relationships. At the heart of all our work, are the same principles we bring to our children: Attunement, Trust, Presence and Compassion.
With Our Children:
HOW DO WE SUPPORT YOU?
We know that trauma can deeply affect the way a child relates to those around them—including the people who love them most. That’s why we place connection at the centre of everything we do. Our approach is:
Psychologically Safe:
We create a space where you can share openly, without fear of blame or shame—because you deserve support too.
Compassionate and Non-judgemental:
We meet you where you are, holding space for the challenges and emotions that come with parenting a traumatised child.
Collaborative:
You are the expert on your child. We work in partnership with you, listening deeply and tailoring our support to fit your family’s unique needs.
Relational:
We focus on strengthening the bond between you and your child, because we believe healing begins in safe, trusting relationships.
Supportive and Nurturing:
We walk beside you, offering guidance, emotional support, and practical tools to help you feel more confident and connected.
Professionals working with traumatised children often carry complex emotional and practical demands. Whether you’re a teacher, social worker, therapist, or foster carer, we offer a reflective space to think, feel, and learn together. Our support is:
Strengths-Based:
We recognise the incredible dedication and resilience of those who work with children every day, and we aim to build on those strengths.
Grounded in Relationships:
We focus on relational approaches that prioritise connection over control.
Trauma- and Attachment-Informed:
We help professionals understand trauma through a developmental lens, offering insights that lead to more compassionate, effective practice.
Collaborative and Respectful:
We value your experience and insight. Our role is to walk alongside you, not to direct or criticise.
Emotionally Attuned:
We acknowledge the emotional toll of this work and offer spaces where professionals can reflect, feel supported, and regain clarity.
Whether you are a parent, carer, or professional, our approach is always about creating a safe, collaborative relationship—where healing, growth, and connection can take root
